Last Updated: 04 March 2026 Instead of keeping product links, screenshots, prices, and notes scattered across different places, you can keep your buying research together in one simple place.

How PickVault works

The basic idea is simple:
Create a Pick → Add your options → Compare them → Choose your preferred option
A Pick represents something you’re considering buying. For example:
  • Earbuds
  • A new phone
  • Laptop
  • Monitor
  • Keyboard
  • Camera
  • PC components
  • Any other planned purchase
Each Pick can contain multiple items you’re considering.

Example

Suppose you want to buy new earbuds. You could create: Pick: New Earbuds Then add:
  • Samsung Galaxy Buds
  • Nothing Ear
  • OnePlus Buds
  • Soundcore Liberty
For each item, you can record its price, budget category, and notes about its features or why you’re considering it. This gives you a place to keep your research until you’re ready to buy.
1

Create your first Pick

Start by creating a new  PickGive it:
  • An icon
  • A name
  • A budget
  • A category
  • Notes
Your Pick’s name should describe what you’re planning to buy.For example: Gaming MonitorYou can use the notes to record your requirements or anything you want to remember. For example:1440p, IPS, good colors, at least 144Hz. Prefer something that will last several years.

Think of a Pick as your buying decision

A Pick isn’t just a shopping list.It’s the decision you’re currently researching.
2

Add items to your Pick

Once you’ve created a Pick, add the products or options you’re considering. For each item, you can record:
  • Name or model
  • Price
  • Budget category
  • Notes
For example:

Item: LG 27GP850

Price: $300
Budget: Mid
Notes: Good IPS panel, 1440p, 165Hz, strong reviews.
You can add multiple items to the same Pick, allowing you to keep different options together.
3

Record what you like about each option

One of the most useful parts of PickVault is keeping the reasoning behind your choices.Don’t just write:“Good earbuds.”Write what actually made you consider them. For example:Good sound quality, comfortable design, gaming mode, and support for a high-resolution codec. This is useful because buying decisions can take weeks or months.By the time you’re ready to buy, you might not remember why you originally liked a particular product.PickVault keeps that reasoning with the item..
4

Choose your preferred option

After adding several options, you can mark one item as your preferred choice. This doesn’t permanently lock your decision. It’s simply a way to identify the option you’re currently leaning toward.Your preference can change as you learn more, compare prices, or find better alternatives.

Come back when you're ready to buy

Your Pick stays available so you can return to it later.Instead of starting your research from scratch, you can open the Pick and see:
  • What you were planning to buy
  • Which options you considered
  • Their prices
  • Your notes
  • Your preferred option
  • The reasons you considered each option
This makes PickVault useful not only for creating a wishlist, but for remembering the decision-making process behind a purchase.

A simple example

Imagine you’re planning to buy a laptop. Create a Pick:

Laptop Upgrade

Set your budget and add your requirements in the notes:
16GB+ RAM, good display, dedicated GPU, suitable for development and occasional gaming.
Then add the laptops you’re considering. For each one, record its price and the things you like or dislike about it.After comparing them, mark the laptop you’re currently leaning toward as your preferred option. When you’re finally ready to buy, all your research is already there.

PickVault works offline

PickVault is designed to work without an internet connection. Your buying research doesn’t require an online account or a constant connection to use the app. This also makes PickVault useful when you’re simply keeping personal notes about future purchases rather than actively shopping online.
